Abraham comes from a very poor family in Guatemala. After birth, Abraham was diagnosed with retinoblastoma in one eye which caused him to lose his sight and forced the removal of his eye to avoid having other medical problems. The loss of his eye resulted in his being bullied by other children and prevents him from going to school one day. He often avoids playing with other children to avoid being bullied because he looks different than other children. Compassion Medicine helped Abraham get a new prosthetic eye! He is no longer bullied and has much more confidence in himself and socializing with others. His renewed confidence will allow him hope for the future and put a smile on his face
